hello - my 6 week old has started doing quite runny yellow poos which smell really strongly of vinegar. the two weeks prior to that her poos were green. she is being exclusively breastfed, is gaining weight fine, and seems well. just thought i'd ask the MN gurus about the vinegar smell. any experience with this??

BF babies have yellow poo. I'm not sure it's vinegar but my son also has a slight metallic smell to his poops. It's still a lot less offensive than bottlefed babypoop!! If you're concerned keep a nappy and show it to the Health Visitor.

in my vast experience vinegary yellow slightly runny poos are a sign of a tummy bug. she may have a mild one, which would be normal this time of year. as long as she's fine in herself and doesn't get full blown diarrohea, i wouldn't worry!
