OK to give 10.5 month-old cows' milk?

Hi all, just a bit of advice needed, was going to see HV today and ask her but got snowed off!
My DD 10.5 months' old is exclusively breastfed, now down to 3 feeds a day. One mid-morning and one mid-aft both very short, longer one at night. But I feel that she's not getting enough from me and was wondering about giving her ordinary milk for one feed a day in a cup. She drinks water from a cup (a spouty one) quite happily. Seems absurd to start giving her formula at this point. She gets milk on cereal and eats loads of yoghurt and cheese. Have a friend who tells me to drop the day-time feeds altogether, but my elder daughter (just 3, stopped bf at 6 months, hence I have no idea what to do this time around!) still has milk 2 or 3 times a day, so don't see why little one shouldn't!
Thanks!

I weaned DD1 at 9 months from breast, she hated formula so at 10 months she went straight on to Cows Milk on advice of HV. She is fine!

Yes, it's only what 6 weeks or so until she is 12 months and he should be getting a lot of goodness from bm. If the diet needs boosting you could put vitamin drops in the food.

I was going to wean at 12 months but things fell into place perfectly for weaning at 11months and I swapped to cows milk with no difficulty (ie ds dropped his night feeds, slept through until breakfast time and only fed in the evening so I felt ready to stop that one). Ds had had cowsmilk and yogurt in food from 6months and is an easy eater with a varied diet including lots of fish and vegetables as well as red meat and chicken thighs for iron.

Oh yes, forgot to say, she's a fantastic eater. Easily eats twice as much as her older sister altho is still really teeny (about 15th centile). Don't know where she's putting it. Don't really have problems at all with her sleeping through or anything like that (lucky me). It's good to see your comments though, as they tally pretty much with what I feel - she's not far off 12 months anyway so cows' milk prob ok. Go for it, hannahlouhoo and I will too! I think ...
