Tandem feeders - anyone fed more than two?

I'm feeding my 19mo and my 4.5mo boys and we are thinking we might start trying for another baby in 3 or 4 months. DS1 is still feeding through the night and very regularly in the day, and I intend to keep feeding him as long as he needs it. I'm just wondering if anyone out there has been pregnant while tandem feeding or has fed more than two? How did you manage it? What were your experiences?

Your body will have no trouble making enough milk, but it is highly unlikely your DS1 will be still breastfeeding in a years' time. Even if he still has a little bedtime feed, he will be at school during the day.

I don't think preschool will make that much difference to a 2 yr old if they're still feeding science teacher - did you think she has a 4 yr old rather than a 4 month old?
Sounds like you would have no sleep to me, but if you have lots of support...
It is entirely natural to keep on feeding, but then bigger gaps are more the norm because of breast feeding and your body does need time to recover from having 2 babies so close together - why the rush - they'll still be friends with a bigger age gap if they're like my 3.

At school? He wont even be three, let alone 6! I think he's pretty clever, but I think I'm just biased - although maybe he is a genius....

Yep, I meant 4 and a half months - got what you meant now scienceteacher!

Somehow I'm one of the very few lucky ones who seem to manage with little sleep. As long as I actually spend enough time lying down, the broken sleep doesn't worry me.

Both my boys are super speedy feeders, 15 minutes would be ages for them (and only one side) - needless to say my milk leaks everywhere all the time!

my husband doesn't work so his job is to share everything else to do with the kids - I'm pretty sure I couldn't do it otherwise.

I just really love the idea of having them close, plus I got my periods back at 3 months, and I'm reasonably sure this time they're about to start back again - bit of a rip off really!
