Looking for reassurance:10 month old DS only 4-5x/24 hrs and he only likes R breast?

Is that enough?
I suppose he has survived 10 months, but still major insecurities here.

He has had STRONG preference for R breast from about age 5 months onward, and will only latch on to L if held in rugby hold. Supply on L is of course by now v low and I mainly keep going on that side to not become too lopsided - I am a little already, obviously! I have stopped expressing at work about 3 weeks ago, it was a major pain and at times impossible, so am not keen to go back to that.
Childminder given him @ 10 oz of FF/day 2x/wk, when he is with me in theory he is demand fed, but he is now so busy that he only feeds on wakening, before naps x2, before bedtime and at times at night. He can sleep for 11-12 hrs in one go - or wake and not settle without breast 4-5x/night!! I blame teething...

That's fine

Unless he's actually dropping weight he's getting enough - if he's happy and healthy, who cares how much he's having, the fact that you are still breastfeeding is to be applauded. And don't worry about the one sided thing - I had half my milk ducts removed from one side due to a lumpectomy, and yet I'm tandem feeding a six month old and a two year old - so you see, even one working properly can feed two kids!

Be happy, you are a good mummy!

He is Mr Pudgy now, but although he always gained wt he was quite slim baby - until introduction of solids, then shot up . I think that added to my insecurities.
Also did not v successfully BF DSs 1-2, with hindsight due to poor information (DS1 was a screamer, FF did not shut him up tho'), and circumstances (DS2 was born at 31 weeks, scbu, etc).

Sounds fine. My ds fed less frequently than that at 10 months. Mind you, he seemed to have eyes only for solid food, and lost interest in the boob.

You are not alone!
My ds (10 months today) is only feeding 4x day and has a strong preference for the R boob.

You are doing fine! If he is eating solids at all meals and snacks then he is having more than enough. My dd2 10mths only has 2 bottles per day and the rest juice. Just breakfast and bed ones now. Too much milk can dampen their appetite for solids.

My 10 month old only feeds 4-5 times a day and never seems to take much. He also only feeds from the right boob and think left has gone out of production! Didn't realise you had to keep using BOTH! Worried he is drinking way way less than the recommended pint/600 ml of milk per day as he won't touch formula either. Where do they get that figure from?
