cause she feels sleepy? is she doing it in that sort of way?

I've just posted above you mazzap,my DS is very fussy when he feeds and rubs his whole face, but I've always put this down to being tired.

My dd always scratches her ear , think it's a comfort thing.
She has just turned 1 and still dos it.

As long as she isn't scratching eye at other times i wouldn't be worried.

Mine does this when she's tired.

Actually, in the first four months, they repeat behaviours they did a lot in the womb. DS clearly spent a lot of time inside with his entire fist jammed into his eye socket (he came out with a bruise there and spent the first couple of months repeating the experience . If it's a particular eye, that'll be why. However it can also be that the tear ducts are developing around this time in your baby's development and they can be slightly faulty - mine are - and if I lie on my left side my eye runs (I'm not 11 weeks old you understand but this is the point when the problems start) and it can be irritating.

mine also rubs his eyes (and ears) and not just when feeding or sleepy.
it does bother me because i had to have surgery when i was 20 to open a blocked tear duct, and ended up with an eye disease in that eye from years of rubbing it. (changed the shape of the cornea over time.)

so it is something to watch ... (though i'm sure i was the VERY rare case)
