I stopped bf the first week of May last year, and can still def express some milk, so you aren't alone

thanks Cmot - is it milk then do you think?

I don't think mine could be anything else as I have had it continuously since I stopped bfing. I fed for 2 years, so I think you keep producing a little for a long time after that

I guess it hasn't stopped since I stopped feeding so I hope you are right.. for some reason the alternative is just disgusting

Handy if you run out of milk for your morning cuppa.

cmotdibbler · 20/01/2009 11:52

Nah, tastes like evaporated milk. And yes, I do know - my mum once put EBM in her coffee when we had run out of milk in the hotel room that she, DS and I were staying in. She drank it too !

Divineintervention · 20/01/2009 11:53

I was told by a GP that breasts need very little encouragement to produce milk and so if you stop squeezing and checking they will stop producing.

psychomum5 · 20/01/2009 12:06

oh yes, t'was me BTW further down.

a few of us namechanged to piss MP off (in a fun way), on a thread she did about 'huns' being on MN!

I haven't fed for 2 years and I can still get a sort of colostrom out. That's why Aunties and Gradnparents can re-lactate and help out Mum in 3rd world! Amzing really!
