Any suggestions of bottles that worked well for you? Avent? Are they good?

Hi there, i am due in March and am looking to buy some new bottles. I used tommee tippee with dd1 , but found the lids were a nighmare to take off, and gave me repetitive strain! I am looking at the others on the market, there are so many! Any recommendations? Any users of the avent bottles? Any tips would be grateful

I swore by the TT bottles at first. I couldn't BF and my newborn took to the TT bottles immediately. My boy now also has Avent but I have met a few babies who didn't get on with Avent at first.

Agree those lids aren't easy to pop off! Have to get DH to do it most of the time (I do have problem with damaged wrist though). Sometimes I just put clingfilm over the top and sit it in a wee jug to keep it up-right in my bag if out and about, use wee jug to hold hot water for warming as well so it is dual function!

ive found dr brown bottles an absoloute godsend, they are more expensive but worth every penny, i recommend to every expecting mother i meet!! they help eliminate colic, and minimise wind intake and just give a much smoother calmer feed in my opinion.
good luck

We used Avent ones and found them really easy to use.

Avent leak if not sealed completely correctly.

TT are ok but the lids come off easily.

I've only used those two.

Avent bottles are leaky and supposedly contain high levels of BPA. If I were going to buy plastic bottles I'd buy Asda own brand, wide neck ones as they're BPA free and nice and cheap.

I do hear fantastic things re Dr Browns, and have just bought Born Free glass ones (my old plastic Avent ones didn't survive dishwasher)

I have started a thread re Born Free tho, not sure about the venting system inside (too lazy to bother with fiddly bits)

I'm due in March too! Good luck!
