You don't have to stop unless you have a very high risk pregnancy and your doctor tells you to do things like stay in bed or not have any sex.
A 6 month old baby isn't going to self-wean but you may be one of the women who experience a reduction in supply in pregnancy and he may need other kinds of milk. Most women do notice their supply reduce. For some it can be as early as the first trimester but the second trimester is more common.
I would recommend you read the book 'Adventures in Tandem Nursing' by Hilary Flower. It covers everything you might want to know about bfing in pregnancy and covers the subject of feeding 2 children after the pregnancy. Some info here:

me too - got an 8month old and am 11 weeks. midwife at booking in appointment didn't say anything, just that it's good i'm still bf! was planning on bf till 1year so will maybe wean him off then, unless he decides to first, which i v.much doubt. so long as he's not just getting only colostrum near the end, i'll carry on and possibly tandem feed.

Are any of you girls feeling really sick very early on?
