ebm - how long does it last out of the fridge?

Thats it really!

I've expressed, but want to feed it to my LO the minute she wakes up, and she doesn't like it cold. If I keep it in a bottle now, and don't put it in the fridge, does anyone know how long it will be OK for?

It will last a good few hours as it has live good bacteria init. Not like formula where it is dead and the bad bacteria starts to grow. If your BM starts to seperate don't shake the bottle as it breaks the good cells up and wont be benefical to baby, swirl the bottle gently instead. Hope this helps.

In a warm room (25 degrees) 4-6 hours
If room is 19-22 degrees 10 hours

HTH. Agree with the swirling.

Thanks, that's great to know!

Am shivering as I type as our house is freezing tonight, so guess it will last a while!
