After months of sucessful feeding one boob is now tender when I feed, fine before and after and pain feels like it is inside my boob, not the nipple. DD is now 13mo, what to do? any ideas, can't feel any lump or anything, feels sore

I had some sort of blockage last week that caused me a burning pain when I was feeding. I had a good prod and couldn't actually feel any obvious blocked duct or lumpiness, but massaging and feeding and hot flannels sorted it out.

It might just be the start of something or a bit of infection that will resolve itself like mine did.

Thanks Daisy, I'll just carry on and hope it gets better then.

try hot flannels and hand expressing in the shower and see if that helps.

when i had that stabbing pain it turned out to be thrush. i woudl look on kellymom to see if you can recognise your symptoms

i agree that massaging, hot flannels etc cant do any harm, but if its thrush you will need creams and meds i think

have you been on antibiotics recently?

sorry I'm not much help, hopefully an expert will come along soon
