VERY sore left nipple, other one fine

DD is 8mo, bf 3-4 times a day now, no night time.

We have battled thrush in the beginning, but all of a sudden my left nipple (super boob nipple btw) is agony, so painful. it doesn't look like thrush again, other nipple is perfect. No obvious signs on baby either.

What shall i/can i do? Do not want to give up yet, until she is 1.

I might be inclined to express from that breast for a day or two and then see if it settled. Have you got a pump? If it doesn't settle then perhaps a Drs visit early next week might be in order in case there's some sort of unusual infection in there.

Can you describe the pain a bit more? Where exactly is it and what does it feel like? Sharp? Burning?

Is there anything on the nipple that looks different? Any little white marks or cracking?
