I just wanted to say thankyou to all those who gave me advice in the beginning when I was struggling, especially tiktok, mears and Tinkerbelle's Mum. And not just the advice given directly to me, but also the stuff written for other people that I read and found helpful.

Thankyou thankyou thankyou!

We've now reached 5 months, everything is going well and we're going on, who knows until when!

well done from another exclusively BFing a 5 month old Mum

MN rocks sometimes

alexpolismum · 15/12/2008 17:11

Isn't it wonderful, kitty! One minute you're sitting there with swollen, tender breasts wondering how you are going to make it to 3 days, let alone one month, and before you know it 5 months have gone by!

Let's give ourselves a pat on the back

Well done you!

Can I crash to say well done and also add my thanks to MNers?

I haven't done as well as you as I didn't excl bf DS beyond 2 weeks old (bottle of formula at night for various reasons) but he recently pretty much dropped his night time bottle so at 8.5mo is now back to only bf (apart from his solids of course!) It is literally ONLY because of people on here supporting me that he is still breastfed at all as I went through a very hairy patch at 10 weeks and lots of worries along the way, but I'm amazed to still be bf at 8mo.

Thank you tiktok in particular, but MN in general

Well done!

Crash away, Holidays, everyone is welcome! Thank goodness I ignored the midwives (who contradicted each other and were generally confusing) and listened to MN instead!

Can I crash too and say well done, and me too! And ys, it is pretty much down to Mumsnet (got to add Mars to your list).

It's funny now to look back to when we were counting every day at a time and now can't see why or when I will stop

can i crash and say well done, and me too.

coolkat · 15/12/2008 17:51

Well done you. X

I am on week 6 and so ready to give up, baby seems to be constantly feeding and I am sore and tired, don;t know who to ask in RL for help and advice

Each day I say one more but the carton of formula has remained in the cupboard so far. You have spurred me on another day - Thank you. X

well done

merrykittymas · 15/12/2008 18:12

alex - this is my third BF baby, I had a terrible time with my first and nearly gave up so many times, second and third have been a breeze.

It's amazing when you look at your chubby little 5 month old and think I did that

mears · 17/12/2008 23:24

Well done
