boring question re: defrosting breast milk from freezer bags

Started using Dr Brown's freezer bags for EBM. I Forgot to defrost the bag in the fridge last night for DD's morning cereal. Have put the bag in a bowl of warm-hot water to rapidly defrost, but bag has leaked. Is this normal or was that a dud bag?

Either a dud bag, or the bag got knocked in the freezer- the seams are fairly fragile when containing frozen milk. I always kept my bags in a plastic box so that they didn't get knocked, and DH always defrosted in a ziplock bag so that even if the bag leaked, he caught the milk and it would be usable
