tingling sore pins and needles sore boobs, is it normal...

hi, i have a 17 day old that i am bf and today my boobs have been incredibly tingly and sore, almost pins and needles like. they have also been hard (which i've been massaging) and leaky... is this normal or is it a sign of thrush that i just managed to google? thanks

hey-I'm not an expert but did bfeed for 8 months. Mine were hard and leaky mostly when very full. And the pins and needly feelings I understood to be the "let down". I hope thats reassuring.

quite normal......it is in part l'let down reflex'/part just fullness I reckon.

I have BF five babies, and mine had that tyoe of feeling whenever I thought about feeding them and when I heard the baby cry, or any other baby cry!

I've had thrush, and this is how I described the sensation to my midwife who said it was just my boobs filling up...but it just got worse and really got me down, so don't rule it out
