Bottle feed in middle of the night

What do people do when they have to make up a bottle for the night? Guidelines say not to make the bottle up in advance (milk tin says only keep formual bottles for 2 hours then chuck...), other guidelines say don't add to cold water as it doesn't kill bacteria (plus ours doesnt dissolve properly) btu if I boil kettle in middle of night to add to forula, it takes about a year to cool down enough, and as I onyl wake up when ds wakes up and is hungry STRAIGHT AWAY (impatient baby!) what on earth do I do?! What do other people do?

Apparently I've heard some people keep some cold boiled water in the fridge. They make up the bottle with less ounces of boiling water then top it up with the cold water to cool it down quicker. That way you're still following the guidelines without having to wait ages for the bottle to cool down

Microwave?

Or as CharChar says, have chilled previously boiled water in the fridge, put 1-2 onces of water in a bottle, add the powder, swirl to dissolve then add a measured amount of chilled water.

Trial and error for quanities.

To make easier, once you know the ratio of hot to chilled, have the chilled in a bottle pre measured to add to the hot formula, only a little fresh water in the kettle so boiling is reached really quickly.

I take sterilised empty bottle up with me and a carton of formula and keep them on my bedside table for when DS wakes up.
Depends if yours will drink milk ar room temperature though, mine always has and its much easier!

You could also put hot water in a flask to save time.
