how do you sterlise the Medela Swing Breast Pump?

Hello!
I've just bought the Medela Swing Electric breast pump and am confused about sterilising it.
I have bought the three pack medela storage bottles and in the instructions it says that you can't put them in a microwave steriliser. However I thought that you could put the Medela Swing in the microwave to sterilise. I'm confused! Surely you don't have to boil the parts in water for 5 minutes every time to sterilise it?
Could anyone please let me know how they sterilise their Medela Swing Pump and bottles?
Many thanks

I used to put the bottles in the microwave steriliser and had no problems.

I had the mini pump and used to put that in too. You have to keep an eye on the valve IIRC.

I sterlised the bottles in a microwave steriliser for over a year - always seemed to work fine. Also if I pumped twice at work and needed to clean a bottle inbetween pumpins I used to leave the pumping kit and bottles in a tupperware tub with milton (that was with the pump in style, but the bottles etc are the same with all medala pumps)

yep I sterilised my bottles for the pump in a microwave steriliser too, I phoned their helpline to check (they're really helpful)
