Sorry, subject was mahoooosive! But I have a candidate.
I've had wonderful support from...my young male hairdresser of all people! He's in his early twenties, and a fabulous hairdresser.
Anyhow, when my DS was born, he asked whether I was breastfeeding, and said how excellent that was, and I should keep going as long as possible. (None of this was in any way creepy.)
During my haircut, DS started crying (he was 4 weeks old) and hairdresser asked whether it would help if I fed him. I said it probably would. He offered me a private room, or a chair in the salon, or a nice clean gown so that he could finish the cut. I opted for the last.
He then let me get DS started, gently draped the gown over me and him to stop bits of hair or product getting on the baby. He finished the cut and bd.
Then he moved his stuff and made his next customer sit at the back of the salon for her cut so that I could finish the feed.
Plus, last week, DS is now 5 months, and he asked whether I was still bfing. I said yes, and he congratulated me, said 'go girl, keep going as long as you can'.
I was impressed anyway!
