Is it ok to freeze EBM after it's been in the fridge all day?

I usually express first thing, put the EBM straight into the fridge, but then only get round to putting it into freezer bags later in the day? Does anyone know if that's ok, or should I really be freezing it immediately?

thats what i do and sometimes i don't do it till the following day. On my Lansinoh storage bags leaflet it says you can store breastmilk for up to 72 hours in a fridge.

I always did, and both of mine survived. Used to work on the assumption that 72 hours in the fridge meant 24 hours in the fridge plus a couple of weeks in the freezer was probably fine

You can leave expressed milk in the main part of a freezer for 8 days before using it. Not sure on the freezer part of your query.

I think it's fine. The main thing to avoid is if you're expressing a few times during the day you shouldn't add each lot of milk to one bottle, you should cool it separately then mix it before freezing it.
