i am bf twins aged 10 months, has been great until they discovered that they have teeth, i have stopped one of them having a nibble by taking her off saying no and then letting her get back on etc etc.

Carys however seems to be a bit more of an issue- i tried the same tactic and as soon as she realised what i was trying to do she clamped down on my nipple until i yelped she then smiled nicely! i have tried all the tricks to get her to stop but she always gives me a quick chomp just before letting go.

Is it a major problem or will i soon get used to the dull ache around my nips- will they get tougher or do i need to get tougher with her

Firstly - Well done for BFing twins for 10mo. You are a star!!

I have this same problem with my 11mo DS. The first few times he bit me I said no and took him off and he thought it was a game. Cue cheeky smile and a few more chomps!

I found that by taking him off and putting him down on the floor he realised that I was serious. He cried like the most heartbroken baby ever but very quickly learned not to bite.

I also have to keep an eye on him towards the end of his feeds as he will give me a bite if he has finished and wants to have a laugh/play!

My big problem at the moment is that he is easily distracted and will turn his head to look at what is happening in the room before he disconnects - OUCH! I'm going to end up with 3inch long friggin' nipples!! I'm not sure what to do about that apart from sitting in the wardrobe to feed him...

Dunno if I have offered any help or just joined in for a moan myself...
