How can I encourage baby to drink more milk?

I'm a childminder, I've had baby for a few weeks full time and the most baby has had in one day is 7oz in total but more often than not I'm lucky if I can get him to have more then 5 and a half oz all day, he is eating jars/ homemade food/ rusk/ weetabix/ fruit pot etc no problem but doesn't like the milk.

What else can I do? I'm already mixing the rest he won't have with weetabix and rusk when I can.

When he's had enough he just shakes his head from side to side.

Thanks

Have they EVER had a bottle/cup or anything? If not, I don't know what to suggest. Does the mum give breastmilk? I had baby from 8 weeks who was on bottles of breastmilk which apparently she wouldn't take from daddy at home but she was fine with me. After my maternity leave, she came back to me aged 8 months, on 3 meals a day and never has milk with me now, just had breast at home in the morning and evening.

So when the baby is at yours, is he having expressed BM in bottle or Formula? Just trying to see if it's the bottle, or taste, or both.

Is mum concerned about milk intake whislt he is at your's?

If he has a morning feed and night/evening feed it may be fine(?).

Hes having formula at mine, mum put 3oz of water in the bottles and i keep the powder i usually put 4oz in as now and then he'll drink it all or he seems to at least have the 3oz but i read they were supposed to be having about 12oz (2 6oz feeds) he's also bf during the night as well.
