How can I get my DD to feed more in the day?

My 10 wo DD feeds well at night - every 3-4 hours for 15/20 mins (one breast only), but isn't so interested in food during the day (short cluster feeds in the morning, usually only one or two 10-min feeds in the afternoon). In all other respects she's got night an day sussed. She plays and is sociable in the day, and goes straight to sleep after night feeds. But if I'm ever going to get her to sleep through, then I have to get her feeding more during the day don't I? How do I do that - she's just not very interested and never has more than one breast at any feed.

not really sure that there is anything you can do, is there? seems like she is a contented little thing and she will prob sort it out by herself in a few weeks. sorry not to be more help but if she settles well straight after night feeds that is something to be v thankful for....

She's still very little. I would try to relax, feed her when she asks and she'll settle into her own pattern in due course. Sorry - I know that doesn't really help, but I don't think you can make a baby feed when they don't want to. You can offer - maybe try offering more frequently? She's very young to be thinking of sleeping through, I'm afraid!

Thanks, you could b right that I should just let her be. It's not that I'm not trying to force her to sleep through yet, I'm just thinking that she never will if night time is when she gets all her calories. Also - maybe related - she has had diarhoea for about 2.5 weeks now, could this be not enough hind milk?
