HELP .. how do i stop 14 month sleeping on me and napping ..

HI

Need help as well as sleeping with us DS 14 months needs me to nap or sleep as his comfort ...

He now has bottle in the day but if im around he wants me to nap and at night has no routine for bed ..

need help ..

Just finished reading The No-Cry Sleep Solution which has tips for this - basically she suggests a gentle removal of the sleeping 'crutch' over time more specifics in the book. There is no magic fix and it takes time and will power....

I'd guess some sort of bedtime routine would help too so that he knows what is going to happen next - we're fairly freeform during the day but to try for a structured bedtime which normally works although my DS is only 12 weeks.

You could also try introducing a comforter like a cuskie - we're currently trying to introduce one so that DS sleeps longer without disturbing us for comfort in the night - I don't mind waking to feed him but find the waking to comfort him a bit dull.

There is also a 'sleep' discussion forum on MN which might have other ideas...
