...that DD doesn't seem to ahve noticed

Didn't feed her last night before bed she had a bottle downstairs before being being changed a rock in the chair and then bed. But she went stright off, I must admit I thought it would have effected her. Don't get me wrong of course I don't want her upset - just thought she might have had some sort of reaction.

lbam - how old is she? Maybe she was just really tired or maybe she is happy because she self weaned?

She's 7.5 months, ebf for the first 6 motnhs then gradually dropped to just evening feed for the last few weeks.

Its funny though cause earlier on in the week when I wasn't sure when I would finsh, I said to her make sure its a good feed it's going to be one of your last and she had the biggest feed for ages

Ah, I had a post on here with almost exactly the same title last week. I was so sad and weepy (and probably hormonal) when I gave up BFing last week. I still feel quite sad about it TBH. I think it's normal. Like you, my DD didn't seem to notice at all!

It does get better. I think it takes a while for the hormones to settle down. It's a really emotional thing to go through. Well done for giving your DD such a great start in life

Thanks rambling. Guess not quite ready to make the first cut of the apron strings!!!

She gets so excited when she sees her bottle, she was not really like that with me

At least they are happy and lots lots of lovely breast milk.

She may surprise you and try and feed again in a few days, my dd did a few times, each time I thought she'd stopped she would have another go a bit later!
If not, don't be too sad, she is just very happy and content in her family
