Bottle feeding routine clashing with day sleep!

Hey,
My DD is 5 months old, and was exclusively breastfed till about three wks ago, combined with formula till about a week ago!

I used to start her feeds at about 7 and carry on every 4 hours till bedtime feed at 6:45 before lights out. Was then giving her her 5th feed at about 11, which she would only have half, then we'd end dream feeding her the rest half an hour later.

This however needed to stop as she'd be so wrestless all night and would thrash to pass wind! So, I've been topping up her day feeds by a fl oz each so she doesn't need as much at night (only wants 4 fl oz when she needs it at bout 2am instead of us waking her to feed). This seems to work better.

Now that's all fine, but find during the day she'll only have half her feed then just want to sleep, end up dream feeding the rest whilst she's in her pram about an hour later! She doesn't seem to mind, doesn't suffer with wind, (has a bit of a belch when she's awake when we pick her up), and goes happily back to sleep... is this fine to do? Have tried keeping her awake to ensure she finishes but she just gets very upset!

can't really help I'm afraid as I went with following what my baby wanted instead of insisting on a 4 hourly feed routine. Perhaps now she's a bit older you could try dropping a feed and spreading the others out over the day? Or make one earlier so she's not as tired?

what flow rate teat are you using? It could be time for a faster one if she always falls asleep while feeding.
