Got sterilisor off ebay but no tongs. I dont want the short ones you get with avent as i found those rubbish. Where can i get a decent pair obviously meant for bottles as will go in steriliser?

I've never used the tongs I got with my sterilizer but, as it's an avent one, I'm guessing you won't want them? I just make sure my hands are well washed before handling the teat. I'm sure someone may be able to help you.

Stupid question - what are the tongs for?
I don't think my avent steriliser had any...

they are so you dont handle the teats when you pull them through the ring... i wouldnt really feel comfortable not using them, esp DH.

I got some from mothercare ages ago but they might have been short ones too

I just used my hands. I mix fed and never sterlised my nipples so couldn't quite see the point in sterlising bottles. I used the dishwasher mainly, and always used my hands to pull the teats through.
