OK, breastfeeding and bronchitis. Have just been prescribed azithromycin and when I read the packet it said...

...not to be prescribed to pregnant or breastfeeding women. I am so pssed off. I told* my GP I was breastfeeding - he even said that he'd have to make sure that the cough syrup he prescribed didn't have codeine in as it would send the baby to sleep!!!! Aaargh!!!

So what would you do? Assume that doctor is right and take the antibiotic or wait until tomorrow and phone him up? DS is nearly 11 months old BTW and a hefty 12 kilos if that makes a difference.
