Does anybody still burp/wind a 13 month old?!

DS is 13 months and still on a couple of bottles a day (yes, bottles, not cups, deal with it, HV ) I stopped burping him after a feed months ago but lately he's been really windy at night and I'm wondering if this is because I don't burp him. I don't even know if you CAN burp a big baby like this?!

Well my son is nearly 11 months and BF but I do still wind him after his bedtime feed (don't bother with breakfast or afternoon). During the day he's mobile enough that he brings up wind himself but I always make sure he burps before I put him down to bed at night or he gets windy.

Oh, and I just burp him against my shoulder while standing up with lots of patting and rubbing. Sometimes takes a while but it's worth it.

HTH.

I stopped burping ds when he was about 3 months old - possibly even earlier [blush) BUT he was bf and never really seemed bothered by wind. When I noticed him doing big burps in his sleep at night without waking up I figured it was a waste of time for ds. Ds did wake quite a bit at night for a long time but winding never seemed to make the blindest bit of difference to him. I suppose babies are different though.
