Breast feeding strike due to hand, foot and mouth...please advise!

My 14 month old ds has hand, foot and mouth and has stopped breastfeeding. He will latch himself on but not feed. This has been going on for 2 days and although he is still eating and will drink a little from a cup I'm worried he's not getting enough fluid. I have been expressing but not much comes out, this morning I was really engorged on one side and I expressed but it doesn't really empy it fully like ds does. Basically I want to know, how long will ds' strike last? Will he return to breastfeeding when he is better or is this the end? Will it affect my supply? He was only having 3 feeds a day anyway and know he will stop wanting to breastfeed eventually but didn't want it to end like this! Many thanks!
