i'm getting a bit sick of the whole bf bottlefeeding issue, and cant believe that the thread is still going strong.
anyways, someone was asking about feeding in public on one of the threads. ive fed my dd in the playground any number of times. no shawl, just lifted up my tshirt. you cant see the breast, but its very very obvious what i am doing. no one gives it a second glance. the boys continue to keep playing football, the moms keep chatting. ive asked moms for a drink if leftover in their kids lucnh bags, as bf makes me thirsty, particularly on hot afternoons.
ive never ever had any crap from anyone, and if they tried, ignore them.

Hunker, my sisters and I enjoy tooting, pointing and giggling (in a very emasculating fashion) when we see this sort of carry on.
You MUST join us!!

Could direct him to the loos - as the place for this activity

moondog · 05/03/2005 22:54

Milward, I prefer a more...direct approach..

I wasn't driving, but would've wound the window down and told him it looked like a penis, only smaller if I'd seen what he was doing in time!

HM, you're quite naughty sometimes aren't you?!

HunkerMunker · 05/03/2005 22:56

Not just sometimes, MD

With DD1 we had quite a few problems and I was totally unconfident about feeding in public. (She would let go crying and flailing, cue jets of milk covering me and anyone within range!). But, with DD2 I have found the confidence to feed whenever and wherever she needs feeding. I don't feel ladies should be encouraged to hide away, but a higher availability of feeding rooms would have meant I would have got out of the house very much more with DD1.
My sister goes the whole nine yards, she doesn't wear bras and would quite often whip her top off to feed her LO! (Well, it was summer ). I on the other hand go for a cardi over whatever I'm wearing, not a chance of anyone catching a glimpse. (It took me years to undress in front of DH with the lights on, so hardly surprising I'm that way!)

LMAO Milward - that's if he could get through the doors past all of the breastfeeding mums who've already been sent there!
