dd2 is 13 months and feeds twice a day, morning and evening. developed mastitis saturday, failed to clear it myself (as have on two previous occasions, once with dd1 and once with dd2) so saw gp on sun and started antibiotics.
dd2 always v keen on her milk and, as i was too ill to go to work today, i gave her an extra feed from affected side at lunchtime.
but at bedtime she bit (affected side. ouch) and then just screamed when offered either side. i kept offering for an hour and then admitted defeat, put her to bed and tried to express.
only got the tiniest dribble from bad side and not much from good side.
what's going on? did dd2 refuse it cos milk not there? will milk come back? is this caused by mastitis or antibiotics? could this be the end of bf for us?!

bumping in case someone with specialist knowledge can help. Do you know who your nearest bf counsellor is? La Leche League? NCT?

thanks for bump. i think it was ntc i rang when dd2 was tiny so maybe i'll try them. she did feed this morning but after a few refusals.
i feel sooo sick. i think it's antibiotics. wonder if they make dd2 feel sick too?
