Should I be taking vitamins now baby is 6 months?

I think follow-on formulas have more iron in them, presumambly to meet an increased need for iron after 6 months, so does that mean I should take a vitamin/mineral supplement now my BF dd is 6 months? My diet is reasonably good, but I am veggie and I don't think my iron levels are as good as they could be.

Iron in the breastmilk is unaffected by iron in the mother's diet, fadingfast.

bcbsma.medscape.com/viewarticle/408813_2 is a report that shows this.

If you take supps, then this would be for your benefit.

PS the iron in breastmilk is absorbed far more readily than the iron in formula milk of any type.

I never bothered with supplements and I'm veggie too. An idea for more iron/energy in general is to snack on dried fruit and nuts a lot. Kept me going.
