How did your breasts feel after breastfeeding?

I have fed DD3 for a year and she's most definitley decided she wants to stop now.

I probably fed her for the last time about 3 weeks ago.
Towards the end she was really only feeding from my right breast and for a month before she stopped she was just taking quite small feeds in the morning and last thing in the evening.

So - the right breast, that she mainly fed from - it feels ever so slightly tender when I push the flat of my palm against the nipple. Nothing major but a definite difference to how the left breast feels.

Normal????????????????

Is it possibly mastitis? Can get it at any stage I think....

or are you due on at all?
I never had tender breasts before pg at my period, but after I stopped feeding, there were definite hormonal changes, including lumps in the run-up to a period.

Hmmm no, not due on till the end of the month.

Might just be a bit of tenderness / extra sensitivity after having a baby feed from it and prefer that breast for a year?

I don't want to ignore that it's a bit tender but then nor do I want to run to a GP with what feels like a very minor feeling of not much!

Doesn't feel like mastitis. Had that a few times.
