Any tips for a farty and windy baby please??

as i need to wind my dd2 on every ounce of milk that she drinks and need to at least get 3 burps out of her before i carry on the next ounce. She hiccups alot too...same when i carry her as she was hiccupping every day. My dp was winding her this morning for 2 hours!!

is she old enough for a bumbo? that seems to help my dd.

You could try holding her against your chest, so her head is facing over your shoulder and her back is very straight.
Rub gently in an upwards motion on the left side of her back (I always found this helped rather than patting).
Lots of changing positions.
Some babies are just more windy and I genuinely think sometimes you can't get it up! I used to fret so much, but he was fine, just incredibly windy. There is only so much you can do.
Have you tried different bottles? Some are designed to create less wind.

my dd2 is 2 weeks old and im using Avent bottles that i uses with my DD1 when she was a baby so maybe they arent the ones for her.

Why not try feeding her direct? Babies do swallow air when drinking from bottles, but not so much when nursing, and it would save you loads of time expressing etc.

I don't really rate the avent bottles, perhaps a Dr Browns or Tommee Tippee Closer to nature would be better?

Tommee Tippee Closer to nature - ive heard that they are good. Where would i able to get them? Mothercare?

Have you tried massaging? My DD gets very windy, and rubbing her belly clockwise 6 times and then pushing her knees up to her belly for 10 counts and repeating several times really helps. She actually goes from screaming to smiling!

Also, when doing our one bottle feed per day, we loosen the cap a little.

You can get the Closer to Nature bottles all over the place, I got mine from Tescos and my local chemist.
