6 month old posseting/being sick a lot

DS is 6 months and 1 week and in the last week to 10 days has started being sick quite a lot, at least 6-8 times a day although relatively small amounts. He never used to be sick at all, or very very occasionally, and this seems to have coincided with starting him on solids a week ago. He is also really really active and spends lots of time on his tummy rolling over wriggling about trying to crawl - could this have an effect? Bit worried.

It could be that he's on his tummy a lot that maybe causing it. If its only a bit, then i dont think it is anything to worry about. but if you are concerned just have a chat with your HV.

His tummy is just adjusting! and it souds like he is making himself seasick. I would give him another week before doing anything.

on the other hand, if he's continually being sick whilst beign fed, it could be reflux. dd had this and i had to fight the docs to get referred to children's hospital. god bless the baby whisperer (rip) xxx

thanks all. He isn't sick whilst being fed but after whilst rolling around on his tummy - does this rule out reflux?

am not sure
when he looks as though he will be sick, does he then not be sick? if his breath then smells acidy (a very technical term ) then this is known as silent reflux and is worse than normal reflux. think how you feel when you are sick - the acid burns your throat doesn't it? well, in silent reflux, the "sick" is swallowed and the acid burns the throat again for a second time. i am not trying to worry you sweetheart, just explaining in layman's terms what happens. i will look on google for both reflux and silent reflux (i had to go to docs armed with info - the first two didn't believe me the only thinggs getting their attention were me telling them how they felt when they were sick as adults and could explain it!)

hang ony mo ....
