I eat loads of peanut butter and am still ebm at 7 months. is it okay or should i be worried? ds has a dairy allergy which should up after introducing solids, now won't hardly touch solids.

No idea, but I'd post it in allergies if I were you.

Fine, and according to the weaning talk I was at this week, they can eat peanut butter when weaning onto solids. I wouldn't worry unless an immediate family member has a nut allergy.

I ate it while pregnant, still do while BF and the baby has had it too. There are no serious allergies in my family. I wouldn't have done it if there were.

One theory (and I stress it is only a theory) I have read recently is the rise in peanut allergy is perhaps due to the avoidance of peanuts while BF... the thinking was that it is best for babies to be exposed to potential allergens while BF so that their body is 'used' to them and the counter-effects of breast milk (dunno what those are in this case) help.

I have a few friends who live in Israel. They practically wean their babies on peanut crisps and they all eat peanuts when they are pregnant. There is a very low level of peanut allergies there.
