Fair enough - I think BF is even less well supported in Canada, tbh, the whole 'if you must BF in public, for god's sake, express it and put it in a bottle' attitude is much much more common there than here.

NQC, you have it wrong about Canada....the attitude you describe is more common in the US. Canada has a very good network of breastfeeding support and their bf stats are better than ours and better than the US.

Oh, fair enough. All the Canadians I know breastfeed (for years and years and years) but I just assumed that was a self-selecting thing.

I know the whole attachment parenting thing is bigger in the US and Canada than here, but I think it's quite a niche thing, still, iyswim.
