i noticed oral thrush in ds mouth 2 wks ago, we have dacktarin to treat it with, and he's fine now. THis wk though i noticed a red scaly (and kind of shiny) patch around my aerola, its quite itchy too, went to gp and she prescribed me Daktacort, i was really surprised as i know its a steroid as i have been prescribed it for DD's eczema before.

When will it start to clear up?? I was told to use morning and night. but it doesnt seem to be working?? I go away sunday for 2 wks and was hoping this would be all sorted beforehand

I don't know if this helps you or not but I had thrush lots when BF.. I found the creams didn't seem to cut it and was prescribed fluconazol (sp?) from the GP - like a canesten once capsule.
the third time I got thrush DH went to the pharmacy to get it without going through the gp - for speed.

if the cream doesn't work there are other things you can try

I second that.Fluconazole did the trick for me.
Do you have thrush too?
