my dd1 was tube and then bottle fed... whilst I was able to express some milk for her she was largely formula fed.

Had dd2 14 weeks ago and she is largely breastfed... sometimes has a bottle - if I need to go out etc. I have had a tough time at the start with feeding dd2 but now all is fine.

I had very little help but just stuck at it - although had lots of support from dh and sil.

I would say, just feed as often as you can in the early days and supply will soon boost up! Also I think that most BF babies would probably take some formula after a feed. You have to trust your bady to increase the supply itself and it will do over a couple of days. Also some mw will suit themselves and do whats easiest. MY friend caught a mw giving her baby a bottle of fomula in the hospital nursery and she tried to hide it behind her back when my friend walked in!
