Breastfeeding fashion advice?

I'm going to a wedding shortly, and I'm breastfeeding.
What do I wear? Just a boring old t-shirt, or is there a sexy dress or top I could get? I want to look good not frumpy!

Willing to spend - I'm saving by not buying formula anyway!!

jojomamanbebe do feeding tops but not sure they are sexy

good luck

I wore a lovely 50s style shirt dress to a wedding when I was bfing. Full skirt, high heels and a jacket. Pattern to hide the vom and bogies . Looked nice but v practical too.

I had this problem recently! I did some moaning and some internetting - found this site: www.mamacocoon.com/ which stocks lots of BF clothes, by Bara Glad (and some tops the owner's designed too, which are nice but not anywhere formal enough for a wedding) - some of these are nice frocks and pretty enough for a wedding. The one I got was nice to feed in.

I also considered a 'normal' dress that had a wrap top that I could whip aside, but I just couldn't find anything! (My BF friend at the same wedding ended up wearing a nice posh frock and changed into jeans and a t-shirt to feed her baby downstairs...)

Try H&M Mamma, a more comprehensive range of nursing tops/dresses can be found in larger stores.

I agree wrap dresses are good. And shirt dresses. Or pretty blouse with nice skirt or trousers. If maternity bras are a problem (don't always look that great under nice clothes), I recently discovered that strapless and multiway bras work well when breastfeeding. I know lots of people advise against underwires when you're bfing but I haven't had a problem with it. Multiways are good because you can undo the cup quite easily (like on a feeding bra).

I'm wearing a strappless prom style dress to my firends wedding at weekend - love the dress nad proud i can fit into it again so going to wear it. I've tried nad can hoik by boobs out - got a pashmina to protect my modesty...well what's left of it!

www.monsoon.co.uk

i've had quite a few wedding while breast feeding. i always end up here. they have a load of full wrap dresses. or ones that just have wrap round boobs. and everything always has a choice of wraps and shrugs or cardi's to choose from.

they're also good for having trousers and wrap top if you dont fancy a dress.

i've even wore a dress that had bones in it. i just stuck my pads to the inside of the dress.

I have This dress from Mamacocoon so another vote for them!
Also if you look at Motherwear, they have some very pretty dresses. I had forgotten about bf when ds2 made his First Communion and ended up getting a Coast dress which was lovely but not at all suitable for bf! I had to hoick my boobs out over the top so not discreet at all!

www.bellamama.co.uk has a great selection of nice tops and dresses for weddings. I wore this one recently Mayreau Cheyne Dress and this Fab Plum dress one also looks good. Grecian Dress on there looks nice too. Hope that helps! Enjoy the wedding!
