How many milk feeds at 10-11 months?

DS is 10.5 months and currently has three milk (formula) feeds a day - 8oz when he wakes up, 6-7 oz at bedtime, and anything between 1 and 4 oz after his lunchtime nap. Recently, though, he hasn't been very enthusiastic for the lunchtime feed, and he seems to get quite hungry and crotchety well before his tea, so I'm wondering whether to drop the lunchtime milk and substitute it with a solids snack. Just wondering how many milk feeds other babies of this age are having, and whether it would be ok to cut down to 2 feeds per day?

my ds went to 2 feeds at about 10 1/2 months as did my dd a few years before that. I dropped the milk and gave a mid-afternoon snack with a drink of water instead.

Thanks Seona. Maybe it's just something about that age?

My 10.5 month old has very similar to your DS and is also dropping a lot of the afternoon feeds. I still offer her it but also give her water and a snack as well.

16oz a day is ample milk for their age. Especially if they are having milk with breakfast and yogurts.
