Best type of baby sling for BF in public?

I'm looking at getting a baby sling to use when out and about with my new baby and toddler. I want to BF in public in it, any recommendation on the best sort?

I've managed to pick up a kari-me fairly cheaply will that be ok?

I have no experience with Kari-me but loved my Huggababy and Freedom ring slings. You can BF on the move, baby can lie and sleep or sit up when older and you can slip sling off over your head to put sleeping baby down without disturbing her .
From what I hear though, sling choice is very individual thing, I have dear friend how hated her Freedom sling (bought at my recommendation ) inspite of having tried mine for a short period of time.
Do you have sling meets in your area where you could see and try different types of slings?

I hate my freedom ring sling, and now have a mei tai, not great for BFing in though!

I vote for a ring sling for bf a newborn, but they are not the best for carrying a baby.
