Breast feeding 2 x day for 9mo. How can I stop my milk reducing

I'm now feeding just first thing am and before bed (DD2 is 9 months) and my milk appears to be drying up (appear to have little at feed times - think DD is probably mostly just sucking for comfort). She sucks for quite a long time (both sides) so don't think the stimulation of lactation is a problem. I've had to start topping her up before bed. The same thing happened with DD1. Is there any way I can prevent this happening? I'm not really in a position to be able to express etc. during the day.

The length of feeds is less important than the frequency, I'm afraid.

Would you consider expressing last thing at night before you go to bed? Night feeds are meant to be the best for stimulating supply - something about the balance of hormones.
