Pain in my breast - what could it be?

I'm bf my 10.5 month old dd and have had pain in my right breast since yesterday.

It's on the right side, near the chest wall, well away from the nipple.

No redness, fever or other symptoms. no apparent lump.

She usually feeds (minimum) every 4 hours or so. I was working for 6 hours yesterday and didn't pump or feed in this time (she had ebm from the freezer). I've done this before though.

Any ideas?

Anyone?

It's still sore. Worse when feeding and especially during let-down.

Could be the start of mastitis? Sounds similar to what i had. My breast also started feeling red hot after a while and was a bit swollen.

hot bath and lots of massaging, feeding lots from that side might help clear anything that's there. kellymom is helpful
