Still no period and DD is 10 months.

I am a still breastfeeding DD2, who is 10months. My periods still not returned. Whats the chance of getting preggy when no periods? When did yours return when BFing?

Took me 17 months, and only because I had to go away for a couple of days so was forced not to bf.

Mine just turned up two weeks ago. DD is 10.5 months (and still feeding through the night, bah!).

Have got pregnant twice while bfing though!

Im not trying to get preggy guess I just worry that if i was I wouldnt know.

Beware:
I haven't had a period in nearly 3 and a half years. The last was before conception of DS1...now pg with DC3.
Managed to get pregnant on 1st ovulation twice now. So YES YOU CAN GET PREGNANT WITHOUT HAVING A PERIOD! (and this time we were using contraception).

with DS2 I only knew because i started vomiting, was dead tired and burst into tears at anything.

This time was just v.emotional and developing a bit of a tummy. Didn't start sickness til after the tests.

Almost worth it for the lack of period.

hi, i posted the exact message about 7 months ago - DS is now 17months and still no sign of periods. Im feeding at least every 4hrs, and cosleeping.

Whilst this is great as i had awful periods, i do want another child at some point (not now - please not now!) and id like to know that i could if i wanted. IFKWIM

go on the Kellymom.com website, i found some really good information on there (which i cant remember!)

Both times my periods didn't return until about 4 or 5 months after I stopped bf. BUT - that's me! My cousin got pregnant with her 4th baby while still exclusively bf her 3rd and no period - it was a bit of a surprise to say the least! If you don't want another one yet I'd strongly advise against relying on bf as a method of contraception!

LOL, how twisted things get. Im not relying on BF as a way of not getting preggy, that would be daff. I dont want more, so am being safe
