EZ-2 Nurse foam feeding cushion

Hi, I'm 20wks pregnant with twins and am trying to be organised. I was thinking about buying the EZ-2 Nurse foam feeding cushion, but it's very expensive, so was wondering if anyone has had experience of using it, and whether it's worth the money.

I'm currently using one of these cushions to BF my 5 wk old twins and I think it's a godsend - I wish I'd bought it sooner. I was shown how to tandem feed at the hospital by just piling up cushions/pillows, but the babies kept slipping down and I had to support both their heads with my hands which was a nightmare if I got an itch! The beauty of this cushion is that you have free hands to to assist with latching, etc. and you can wind/cuddle one without having to put the other down.

The downside is I don't think the babies get as good a latch from the cushion as they do when I put them on individually, so I still do loads of individual feeds as well, but it is invaluable for those times when they are both screaming at once.

Thanks chihiro, I think I probably will get one, their resale value on ebay is pretty high, so that helps to compensate for the expense. Do you use a foam one or an inflatable one?

The inflatable one. It even comes with a puncture repair kit! Good luck with your twins - I wish I'd been that organised beforehand.

Thanks again. Are your twins your first children or do you have others? I think I've been motivated to be organised as I have a 2yr old and I have found that really hard work, lots of difficulties with sleeping, so thinking unless I'm well prepared this time I'm really going to struggle.

Chihiro ... how do you find the Ez2 cushion? Do you use the back support? I'm also feeding twins (nearly 8w) and find that I can't get the cushion tight enough around my middle, then there's a gap between the back of it and the wall which their bottom tends to wriggle down! Any tips?

Hi I do use the back cushion but also two more sofa cushions behind so I can push myself forward into the centre and eliminate any gap at the front. There is a bit of a gap between the back ends and the sofa, but if they're on their sides then their bottoms and legs sort of curl around my back a bit. Could be more of a problem for me as they get bigger?

Sorry, not being much help here, but maybe just experiment with putting something under the back so they are more on the level and not sloping downwards??

AngeLamb - yes these are my first so still very much in shock with it all. I'm sure your preparations will pay off!
