Just got my sports bra in the mail...and it has underwire. Is this okay for bf mum?

I am running in a 5k in a few weeks and I need good support for my 36DD milkies. I got one in the mail, Panache Hi Impact sports bra. But it's got underwire and I thought that was a breastfeeding no-no?

Anyone have experience with this one? Am I right about the underwire? If so, how will I get proper support?

Thanks in advance.

I've been wearing underwire for a few months, but then have been feeding for a while and never get engorged anymore.

Best sports bra on the market, and the most hideous!

I wore this all during pregnancy and when breastfeeding and it was fine. If it fits properly and feels comfortable there shouldn't be any prob for breastfeeding.

Good alternative is the Goddess Comfort Sports bra which you can get from figleaves. Am personal trainer specialising in pre and post natal fitness and run Buggyfit in my area (outdoor buggy workout for mums) and I recommend either the bra you've already got or the Goddess!

Also am 28 weeks up the duff with huge knockers and still exercising/teaching/running in my Panache.

Good luck in the race for life!

I now wear underwired daily bras but my dd is 11 months. You can wear two sport bras if needed - however, if you have the right level (1-3 I think) you should be ok. My sports bra is not underwired and trust me, there is no movement at all.

Great! Thanks.

Erm, what's up the duff? Sorry to be daft.
