breast feeding and health visitor training - there is hope!

My health visitor just called (which is amazing in itself as we try and avoid each other!) to say that all the health visitors at the surgery are doing a week long breastfeeding training course.

As part of the course, she needs to come and 'observe' a baby being breast fed.

Further, she asked me to think of ways health visitors can support breast feeding mothers

Am off to faint now.....

I also have an amazing HV

She was very very good when i had thrush from BF at 10 days.

But that's what amazing - my HV was absolute garbage!

They suggested formula when DD was bottoming out on 9th percentile. I was the one who insisted on breast feeding and that she was measured for length, which ended up being 75th percentile...
