Breastfed baby, three days old, brown poo?

brown rather than yellow, runny consistency, is this normal? Am asking on behalf of sil, posted a thread earlier to say that sick had brown tinges too, although this may be down to mucus or cracked nipples, but have nevr had experience of brown rather than yellow poo. cheers.

Had it gone yellow and now changed to brown? If not, and it's just part way through the transition from meconium to normal yellow poo, then a day or two of brown is quite normal IME -- should settle down to yellow in a couple of days.

Agree - this is normal at 3 days. Your midwife will confirm, too
