My 3 month old has mam bottles and is currently on size 1 teats. He has been on these for a couple of months now, and I think they are starting to get a little slow for him. He does still finish a feed in about 15 minutes or slightly over, but he seems to be getting frustrated with it, he will keep unlatching and bats at the bottle with his hands, and occasionally chews on the teat. I have tried size 2 and whilst he doesn't choke or gulp, he does seem to struggle to coordinate very well, even with paced bottle feeding. I keep the bottle horizontal and tilt it down if he takes a breather. He finishes the bottle in 5-6 minutes on the size 2 which is obviously quite fast and I don't want him to start overfeeding or get extra gassy. They do seem to drip incredibly fast compared to the 1! I'm unsure what to do going forward. Also what confuses me more is when he dream feeds at night with the size 1, he takes it much more efficiently than when he is awake in the day, usually in 10 minutes. Any advice please? I don't really want to start trying different bottles at this stage due to cost and he has always taken to his mam bottles well.
