Can I do anything about my crap right boob???

The left is brilliant - leave it for a few hours and I can express five ounces in twenty mins once a day for the evening and BF her in the daytime, but the right...a few drops if that.
There isnt much breast tissue and it is NEVER engorged, even if I leave it. I try to get DD on it, and she latches, but never gets that happy deep gulping from the other one. The nipple is odd too - two small nodules and one bigger one.

Can I do anything to improve it? Have tried massage but dont have the time, esp if DD wants to be fed. She is 12 weeks and putting on weight fine, but I am worried that one boob might not be enoughas she gets bigger and feeds more .

BUMP - Sorry not sure if I can help, I know my left one has never been as full as my right and looks smaller, I have no advice tho, hopefully someone else will...

Mums with twins feed them fine from 1 breast each. Honestly, it doesn't matter. Your supply will adapt to however much she takes from each breast. If she feeds more from the left, then the left will have more milk, end of story. If she's gaining weight well and has managed to get to 12wks on ebf then you've nothing to worry about, really you haven't.

Most babies prefer one particular breast. My ds2 always fed better on the left side and that breast is slightly larger and definitely has more supply. He's 17mo and still bfing.

Thanks MRJ and Olihan - I would feed her more from the right but there has been enough so I tend to neglect it. Today I began massage in the hope I could pummel it into submission

I'm exactly the same! With DD1, I eventually gave up feeding with the right altogether. This was when I was down to a couple of feeds a day, then I just reduced time on left to stop feeding altogether. DD1 was 13 months by then. No harm done!

am sure i've read something about right or left handedness and this, must be to do with positioning. anyway with me it is the left one which is less bountiful and i am left handed.

not to worry, it will come in very handy for growth spurts so do carry on using both.

Me too, my left always performs well!! Left though.. another story. I recently started giving my dd14mo more left suckles before the right and give her my left while she still suckles during the night. It seems to be doing the trick. They appear to be evening out a bit. I put it down to it just being more confortable to feed on the left for some reason.

right performs well sorry. I wonder what 2 left boobs would look like?!?
